About Me

I retired from a civil engineering practice about 6 years ago. I was raised in a family jewelry business which is where I established my manual dexterity and an eye for detail. Along the way, I started to remodel homes in the Houston area and began building fine furniture and built-ins for clients.

The combination of my experience led me to start building fly rods for myself and eventually others. I bring attention to detail from jewelry and furniture, while keeping an engineer’s eye on the function of the rod. If it does not perform, it doesn’t matter how pretty it is.
